I remember the mention of business cards by some group members. After giving it some thought I think it would be a great idea to sort of help jump start the club. I think that the cards should be two sided. One side containing our logo and the other and e-mail address. Very simple, to the point and no clutter.
I personally have been leaving msg's on paper on a couple of ludes that I see in the city. As a jump start tool I believe it would be worth it. What do you guys think?

Sample card would read something like OTTAWAPRELUDE on the front. On the back would read somethink like..... No Fees, no hassles, Just Meets, Meals and Cruises.

Later Luders...

thats all good but we need some way of covering, the website costs (which have generously but contributed by preludeking), we are lucky to have tony working on the site for free and stuff like business cards..... we need some way of covering those costs. Stuff like stickers and T-shirts do we want that to be covered by a membership fee or whoever wants (within the club) gets it, therefore no club fee. Just getting this stuff out in the open, but again i agree free is better!

I personally think that it should be whoever wants gets. This way there is no pressure to those that aren't sure or just wanna ride it out for a while and see what happens.

and then people who want t-shirts would pay whatever they cost

I think some ideas would be club bbq's where some money would go to supporting these costs. We could do public car washes too. Maybe show the community that some car enthusiasts are good, and not out to kill people racing on city streets.

great idea guys...keep them comming....

an idea for the cards...what do you guys think???...its stolen from the 2ndgen integra club.....

on the back of thier cards they actually have a blank spot where teh member who actuually "tagged the car" put thier name...somthing like..your car has been spotted by memeber _______.

i agree that the site address is the key to the cards.....its sends perspective members to the site where they can get the full details and find out when our next event is.

I'll get the full details of the prices up this week too for the stickers, cards and shirts if you guys want them..i do......

There is all kinds of ludes in the city...lets get'em guys!

Here is my personal opinion on the cards.. If somebody came up to my car, and touched it, I would run after them with a baseball bat.

Contemporary Customs and DSCR both tried this for a little while, both clubs had issues (like I mentioned), and all members were told not to put cards on cars anymore..

it's a badddd baddd idea.. Trust me.

After thinking about it I suppose that it could go both ways based on the experiences of others in the group. I personally have had nothing but thanks via mail for the papers I left.
Two things come to mind. If we were to do it I would suggest that you put the card on the car in the most unobtrusive  manner possible. That would probably be in the window seal drivers side. This way ppl wouldn't get to upset cause there is minimal contact with the car. Next  I would suggest diong in the beginning only or maybe in spurts and only having maybe 50 cards printed.
Those are just a couple of issues that I have come up with from mulching it in my mind.

Take Care Guys....

alright.. maybe I'm just paranoid, cause I've had people try to jimmy my door before.. but coming up to my car, and sticking something down between the window and door will make me hit you even harder Cheesy

i'll cut them into little flyers... we'll start there...
